Hey boys and girls I just got an email in the morning and I was surprised....
Short version of the story is that I got an email from the Google Team saying that I am running out of storage and should upgrade if I want to send or upload photos.
I was wary since I knew gmail had a huge storage and you basically never ever run out. So I checked my storage and I only use about 3+Gb out of a massive 10Gb that google has to offer. So I suspect that this is actually a fake email and if you click on any of the link, you will be redirected to a phishing site and soon you will have spyware, adware and they might even ask you to login again and they have your password as well.
About a month back, Kelvin Toh asked me if I was interested to go for Track Day at Sepang. I said yes straight away as my Canon 5D needs a workout as it has been sitting in my dry box for way too long without getting any action. It was always at the back of my head and finally last Saturday we decided to go for.....
The cool thing about Time to Attack Sepang and most track days I suppose is you get to head to the pit area of the Sepang F1 international track. As a F1 fan, it is always a thrill to go to the pit lanes.
Here is a shot of the Podium where just 2 months ago, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez and Kimi Raikonnen where standing on to receive their prize
This is where Charlie Whiting would be standing to see the 24 cars line up before he presses the button to start the starter clock.
It is also where they wave the chequered flag for the finishers of the race.
For those who do not see F1, when the starter (Charlies Whiting) presses the start button to initiate the start sequence, it goes to a computer which will randomly turn the 5 RED lights (yea suppose to be 5 but dunno why only had 4) to GREEN lights. The reason for this is so that F1 drivers do not anticipate when the lights will go RED and then get a jump start.
When we got to the track, I could hear the loud exhaust of some of the cars. It was surprising that cars like the Honda Civic was absolutely loud and even one of the BMW M3 had a real nice growl to it. The great thing about track day is you get a whole different range of cars on the same track from some super cars like...
to some standard cars like.....
To some very interesting cars like....
That by the way is the new Mini Cooper S Coupe. It is a very very very rare car in Malaysia and it was driving around the track quite a bit. To something I do not expect....
You definately cannot take the racer out of some people. There were also a whole host of Proton Satria, Proton Wira and Proton Saga (new and old). Some of them were really serious as the car's interior has been totally stripped out and one even had the fuel cell in the car itself. However we were all there to cheer on...
That is the Red Bullet which is a Fiat Coupe 20V turbo driven then none other then Kelvin Toh...
Red Bullet reversing into the pit garage F1 style
Red Bullet resting in the put garage
Red bullet pulling out of the pit garage
Red Bullet with Amy pulling out of the pit
Red Bullet Overtaking a Ferrari 360 Modena on the pit straight
Now the other awesome thing about track day is that if you cannot drive around a track fast enough, you still get to go on track as a passenger...
Phew after 5 laps of Sepang I think I have lost a heck alot of weight from all the G forces and all. Haha. However one person who definitely who lost a lot of water is...
It was seriously dem hot on that day and driving around Sepang without the AC is pretty hot. However we had loads of fun and did some uh cam whoring as well....

If you thought it was the Mercedes SLS then I think you are dreaming la. However it is something close...
It was a Mercedes SL500 in striking bright orange colors. At the end of the race both Fiat Coupe (Kel's and his friend's) suffered a bit of damage. The Red Bullet was missing a wheel but on the front left tyre and the Silver Bullet (Kel's friends car) popped a fuel hose and stopped out in the track and had to be towed back.
It was a very exciting day and if you have the time check out....
If you check out around 6 min 20 seconds you can see the Red Bullet starting to lose grip and we were going sideways around corners.
Contrary to many people's perception, I am kind of liking to work in KL. Other than the odd summon I get while parking around Taman Bahagia LRT station, other than that there are loads of benefits. One of them is the incredible sunset we get coming into the office. Usually around 6 something to 7, the sunsets and you get this magical light shining on the buildings....
On the opposite side of this view we get this....
Normally I always take sunset pictures at the beach but this is the first time I get to take pictures of the city landscape. As the sun goes even lower things change for the better....
Last but not least is when I take the train home at the right time as just as I get off the LRT I get to see this...
