Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Part 2

Ferrari World is not only a theme park but it is also a Ferrari museum. There are alot of Ferrari cars on display and alot of educational displays to teach people about car aerodynamics and also the technology behind Ferrari's road cars as well as the Formula 1 cars.

They have Super Cars from the past such as the Ferrari F40

To the Ferrari Testarossa

Even extra classic Ferrari road cars like the Ferrari 166 MM

And this trully classic ferrari car. I don't know the name of the car and I can't find it online.

They also had some legendary Formula 1 cars. The car below is the Ferrari 412T driven by Jean Alesi. It didn't win any drivers or team championship. It had a 3.5L, V12 engine and it has the designation T because of the position of the gearbox which is placed traversed.

Next is the Scuderia Ferrari F2004 which was used by Micheal Schumacher in 2004 to win the Drivers Championship. This was the time where Ferrari absolutely blitz the entire F1 paddock and kept on winning. It got so bad that it actually got boring and I never actually watch who was in first place because it was always Micheal.

Another one of the F1 cars that the legend Micheal Schumacher drove is the Ferrari F310B which was used in the 1996 and 1997 championship seasons. Back then 1 single chasis will be used by a team for as long as 2 seasons. Now every season, the bigger teams will use new chasis and all new technology. Even the lower end teams such as Lotus Racing and Virgin Racing are coming out with new chasis this year. In 1996 when this car was first used, they hired Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne which in combination with Micheal and Jean Todt created the Ferrari Dream team and blitz the F1 paddock from 1999 till 2004 where Ferrari won all the Drivers and Constructors championship.

The last of the F1 cars on display is the Ferrari F10 which is the car they used for the 2010 season. I think this is mock up car and wasn't drive by anyone. Reason for that is because the car doesn't have a number on it so basically it is just a mockup car.

From the formula cars, we go to the street cars and the first up is the Ferrari 458 Italia. The 458 Italia replaces the F40 which is the first picture above and has a crazy 5 liter V8 engine. This guy goes from 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and has a whooping top speed at 325km/h. Check out how"garang" the head lights are. It is one sexy car.

The Ferrari 458 Italia in a different color.

Check out the disk brakes on this bugger.

One of the most cool car displays in Ferrari world is where there is a rotating F1 car back to back with another 458 Italia

The thing rotates around and around and you get to see both the cars top and bottom as well. The Ferrari F1 is a F10 for the 2010 season and since there is a number it belongs to current Ferrari Poster boy Fernando Alonso. He almost won the 2010 drivers championship.

There were many other Ferrari cars around but I don't know why I never took pictures of them. It was a good time and we spent the better part of the day there. Wished I could have sat the big simulator. Oh well, next time I guess.
